The Kontoma Darimu USA Association, established by members of the Gujii community residing in the United States and across the globe, recently dispatched a delegation to deliver "Gumaata" to the Aba Gadaa of Uraagaa, Maattii, Hookkuu, and other Yuubas.
This meaningful act took place in Me’ee Bokko during the Gadaa transition ceremony, where the Abba Gadaa voluntarily and peacefully passed power to their successors in accordance with Oromo tradition.
The offering of Gumaata symbolized respect, unity, and continued support for the Gadaa system and its leaders. Upon receiving the delegation, the elders expressed their appreciation and bestowed blessings, acknowledging the association’s commitment to preserving cultural values and strengthening ties between the diaspora and the homeland.
